The Position

Systemic Reaction, the creative division that brought you the living worlds of Generation Zero and Second Extinction, is looking for a passionate Systems Programmer to help drive the development of our upcoming title, Ravenbound. Ravenbound is a challenging new open-world action-roguelite in development for PC, set in a world inspired by Nordic folklore.

As the systems programmer, you will work with some of the industry's most exciting technology and talented individuals. We have a solid reputation for producing fantastic looking open-world games and this is a great opportunity if you want to play an instrumental role in developing our next-generation games and engine.

In this role you will play a big part in a small tight-knit team of developers in making sure Ravenbound delivers the best possible user experience on current and future platforms for the projects entire lifecycle.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Advanced knowledge of C/C++
• Prior experience working as a systems programmer on at least one shipped title on previous-gen and/or current-gen consoles
• Self-motivated, strong work ethic, able to work independently
• Good communication skills and thrives as a member of a team

Desired Qualifications

• Experience with a wide range of tools and pipelines used in modern game development.
• Experience with a wide range of game level systems, including scene management, physics, animation, AI, rendering, etc.
• In-depth knowledge of game engine architectures
• In-depth knowledge of next generation console architectures and future architectural trends
