The department Systems & Software develops the embedded systems in modern vehicles, and fills them with functionality. We are working in many different domains, such as Active Safety, Infotainment & Connectivity, Chassis and Powertrain. We are providing our customers with a broad spectrum of competence within function development, architecture, software development, power electronics and power distribution to mention a few. To our group Function & System development, we are now looking for a Teamleader for Propulsion Systems.

Our Propulsion team is focusing on Electric and Hybrid drivetrains (EV/HEV/PHEV) but is not limited within this area; i.e. we are also open for conventional and other futuristic propulsion technologies.

Your role will be to work both as an engineer within this team, but also to enhance our team and develop our current business within this field. The base for your work is our team in Sweden, but you will also interact with other departments within Semcon both in Sweden and globally, where you will contribute to our technical network.

Your responsibilities (within the technical area of above):

•           Technical front edge outlook - what are the future trends
•           Competence development of the team members
•           Arrange educations and training courses, internal as well as external
•           Support the group manager regarding recruitment
•           Develop sales material and contribute in our efforts for new businesses
•           Daily contact with our current customers
•           Define Semcon's research strategy, write research applications and participate in projects

Experience/Skills required:

•           M.Sc. degree in EE or similar. Preferably including courses related to electric drivelines
•           Experience from leading a team or a project
•           Ability to stimulate and motivate people
•           Minimum 3 years' experience from working with alternative drivelines (HEV/PHEV/EV).
•           Deep knowledge in at least one of the following areas; model based function development, systems architecture, functional safety and dependability, power electronics, electric motors, energy storage (batteries) or BMS.
•           Fluent in English and experience from working in an international environment

Experience/Skills preferred:

•           Line management experience
•           Experience from sales and/or marketing and/or business development
•           Fluent in Swedish and/or German

You must be flexible regarding working environment and you should enjoy working in teams, but also have the ability to handle things by yourself. Business trips within Sweden and Europe will occur, occasionally outside Europe as well. This role also requires you to simultaneously have focus on several different activities.

Most important is that you have the drive and willingness to build and achieve something. In this role you must be dedicated to, and have the passion for, both technique and people.
