What you will be a part of
Avionics Systems develops and manufactures qualified systems and equipment (electronics, mechanics, optics and software) for demanding applications in aircraft and helicopters. Many of these products are developed in collaboration with other parts of Saab or external partners.
Product Area Mission Avionics is part of the Business Unit Avionics Systems and has its operation in Jönköping and Järfälla. The product area develops computers, head-up display systems and communication systems.
The department Systems Engineering & Bid Support looking for a System Engineer.
Today the department consist of 14 systems engineers and we need to become more to meet our upcoming challenges.
Your role
As a System Engineer you will be a apart of and a driver for:
• Systems design activities
• Requirements definition and maintenance
• Defining technical solutions bases on customer requiments
• Bid Support and calculations as support to marketing and sales
• Technical interface towards our customers
• Verification and integration activities on system level
You have the ability to take technical lead in our projects and guide the organization regarding design solutions based on cost efficiency and customer requirements.
You are business minded, structured, analytic and have good communication skills in both Swedish and English.
In the future you take the role as Chief Engineer with full technical responsibility towards customer and authorities.
You will mainly work in our projects and report to the project manager. Travels may be required both internally and to our customers.
Your skills and experience
We are looking for a profile in the Missions Avionics domain knowledge comprising:
Updated knowledge and experience from systems for embedded system
General knowledge of the systems in an aircraft and/or helicopter environment
General requirements
Appropriate professional or postgraduate qualification in a technical discipline.
Strong business understanding, customer focus and a performance driven way of working
Understanding and ability to work in an international environment and matrix organisation.
