On behalf of VCC we are looking for a consultant to support design engineers in the PSS in the usage of system safety processes and methods.
Tasks include to develop and maintain Safety Critical parts of electrical system solutions according to the vehicle subsystem division. Define calibration data so the vehicle fulfils both Volvo and legal requirements for environment, safety, market, customer quality, assembly and serviceability.

• Identify the requirements that will form the structural conditions for the area of responsibility and the project
• Participate in creation of Functional and Technical Safety Concept for system with safety goals or ASIL classified requirement.
• Participate in evaluations of proposed technical solutions (in decided architecture) with the purpose to judge the possibility to calibrated the solution.
• Participate as representative for area of responsibility within system team work (for example Hazard Analysis, FMEA, FTA, etc).
• Documenting the system safety activities and work products in a Safety Case.
Responsibility
• Ensuring that the VCC system safety processes and methods are used.
• Supporting and approving System Safety Plans.
• Documenting the system safety activities and work products in a Safety Case.
• Document results in Final report and expedition reports.
• When needed, report calibration status and calibration plan to the project and to the line organization.
Competence Requirements
• Master of Science degree Mech, Electrical, Applied Physics or equivalent experience.
• Deep experience from Safety Critical system and SW development
• Deep knowledge of system safety standards
• Good knowledge in Swedish and English. Good skills in both written and spoken language.
Desired Competencies Requirements
• Good knowledge of VCC system safety processes.
• Good knowledge of development tools Matlab/Simulink and calibration setting and measurement tools such as INCA and DTECS.
• Good experience in using the relevant tools, like TeamCenter, Elektra, etc.
