The Datacenter & Platforms unit is currently recruiting a system engineer to be a part of a customer-centric team that provides guidance, consultancy, solution assessment and IT infrastructure services onboarding.
The system engineer provides professional operations and engineering practices, and delivers scalable infrastructure for efficient consumption in a hybrid environment, combining systems knowledge, operations competence and programming/scripting skills to automate and simplify our current IT landscape and the future growth of digital IKEA.

REQUIREMENTS
To be successful you have proven advanced training in information technology, computer science or equivalent experience. You have also experience of working with internal and external clients/customers. You have experience in designing and implementing resilient, highly available and automated IT infrastructure platforms.
We believe that you have knowledge in the following areas:
Extensive and broad knowledge within the domain IT infrastructure
Experience in implementation/realization of IT Infrastructure and services including project management as well as product and service life cycle management.
Understanding the role of architecture and having the ability to identify areas for architecture focus in a project/line organization.
Good understanding of architectural frameworks and patterns
Ability to take own initiatives and deliver results.
Communication and stakeholder management skills
Good written and spoken English.
The passion for technology and new technology innovations keeps you learning and curious. The motivation of how technology can be used to automate and improve activities will energize you to work both independently and interdependently across functions.

We believe that you have experience in working in an ever-changing large-scale IT landscape with delivery models such as IaaS and PaaS. We also believe that you have experience working with agile frameworks and methodologies.
As part of our automation change journey, technologies used for automation will be more and more important for us to explore so experience within the automation area is considered a merit.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Support projects, product, and application teams with infrastructure advisory.
Identify consumer needs and translate business requirements into functional requirements.
Identify and optimize current IT Infrastructure processes.
Contribute to the development of infrastructure patterns to boost innovation and development productivity in Digital IKEA
Collaborate with infrastructure teams to find automation use cases and opportunities
Participate in the implementation of new technologies and infrastructure projects
