Your workplace
Electronic Defence Systems, a business area of Saab, is one of the world's premier suppliers of solutions for surveillance, avionics and systems to detect, locate and protect against threat.
In Jönköping, we develop and manufacture qualified equipment based on electronics, mechanics, and software for demanding applications in aircraft and helicopters. Many of these products are developed in cooperation with other companies within the Saab group as well as external to Saab. Most of our projects are carried out in an international environment and we are supplier of equipment to two of the major aircraft manufacturers in the world, Boeing and Airbus.
We have a long history in the development and manufacturing of optical systems such as sights and displays for use in aircrafts and helicopters. Our ambition is to further grow this business and we therefore need to increase our engineering staff.
Your role
We have developed a novel type of Head-Up Display to be used in aircraft and helicopters and the activities around this product is expected to grow during the coming years. The tasks comprise many technical domains such as mechanics, electronics, optics and software. The product is a vital part of pilot's information and presentation system.
You must be able to combine development work in some of the above areas together with marketing support. Marketing support includes undertaking the integration between our product and the customers system for test and demonstration purpose.
Your qualifications
We are looking for you, who have a university degree in engineering, preferably electrical engineering and some experience in product development. You must have ambition and drive and be comfortable in taking a large degree of responsibility. You must also have good communication skills and be able to blend into the product team. Since we are working on the international market you must be fluent in English, both verbally and in writing.
