What you will be a part of
Surveillance provides efficient solutions for safety and security, for surveillance and decision support, and for threat detection and protection. The portfolio covers airborne, ground-based and naval radar, electronic warfare, combat systems and C4I solutions, and traffic management systems.
The business unit Electronic Warfare (EW) Systems provides world class innovative systems and services that utilize the Electromagnetic Spectrum for protection, detection, location and monitoring. We also provide tools for intelligence analysis of the information gathered.
Tactics and Technologies is a section within the Systems Design Department and provides resources and competence within a broad range of technical and system engineering aspects to research and development projects in the EW Systems business unit. In particular, the Tactics & Technologies section is involved in:
System design and requirements handling
Evaluation and enhancement of system performance
Test and verification of system components
Improvement and and implementation of Technology
Your role
In this position, you will be a part of a project team in systems engineering, development, test and verification of measurement system components. You will also be trained to take ownership and responsibility of parts of various systems.
An important part of the job is to understand, develop and handle requirements of system components with respect of performance and reliability. Participating and providing guidance for testing and troubleshooting during the component development life cycle is also vital.
Another important part of the work is to communicate and collaborate within the project team as well as with people in the production organization and outside the engineering organization.
You will report to the Head of Tactics & Technologies.
Your skills and experience
We are now looking for a skilled person within electrical engineering, engineering physics or similar that can join our engineering section in Tactics & Technologies. Preferably, you also have a few years experience in working with measurement systems in lab enviroment from a systems engineering perspective.
We believe that you have the following competences and skills:
A Master degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics or similar
Some experince as Systems Engineer with respect of requirements handling
Knowledge in Matlab, Python or similar for data analysis
You should be:
Curious
Innovative
Outspoken and a creative project team member
Unafraid of asking people for support
This position includes access to classified information, therefore you are required to conduct a security screening in accordance with the Protective Security Act and be approved for security clearance by the authority.
