Sandvik IT Services is the Sandvik Group's internal company with responsibility for infrastructure, applications development and systems management in the IT area.
Key performance areas
You will be responsible for providing day-to-day technical support for the iOS operating environment and server hardware that is currently located at our data centers in Sandviken. You will work with the latest systems software and hardware technology, with a proven track record in the industry.
Your main tasks include:
• Installation and maintenance of operating systems and/or programs
• Design and configuration of hardware and software
• Planning and resource optimization, problem diagnosis and systems integration
• Evaluation of new techniques and methods
• Providing back office support
• Coordinating and prioritizing activities
The position is located in Sandviken.
Your profile
The ideal candidate has a minimum of three years experience working in a support/administrator role on the System i platform. You are willing to work in a virtual global support environment and have excellent communication skills in English and Swedish, both oral and written. We prefer that you have knowledge of and experience with one or more of the following from the AS400/iSeries/System:
• System administration
• CL programming
• BRMS
• Security administration
• Client Access
• High availability software tools
• Logical Partitioning
You are positive and creative and like to work systematically and in a structured manner. You are used to working in a global team but are happy to take the initiative and can work independently as well.
