What Do We Offer?
Propulsion & Climate Labs is Volvo Cars' Centre for testing of propulsion systems, in complete vehicles as well as in component form. We operate propulsion test facilities for vehicles, drivelines, electric motors, inverters, batteries and transmissions, as well as aerodynamic- and climatic wind tunnel testing.
To meet the future, we need to invest in state-of-the-art test environments and continuously develop our test methods, to ensure that we test and verify next-generation cars in an efficient and correct manner. What You'll Do
You will have a central role in creating functional- and non-functional requirements for our complex test environments. To do this, you will investigate and balance the needs of different stakeholders. Our test environment portfolio aims to verify a multitude of propulsion system properties. Given this; how you can best contribute will vary depending on your competence, experience, and interest.
Your target will be to make sure we build the right environment with the right capabilities to fulfill verification needs. You will also need to consider extending the capabilities of existing test environments and how to fit new environments into an existing software infrastructure.
Skills & Experience are Important
• M.Sc. or B.Sc. in an applicable technical field
• Previous work in test environment projects
• Experience in technical leadership
Personality & Potential are Key
You are comfortable making your own decisions and appreciate the freedom to take required actions on own initiative. You have an ability to utilize new information, continuously improving structure and process comes naturally for you. You enjoy collaboration and easily bring out the best in others. You possess strong communications skills, a genuine interest in technology and are driven by constantly learning and improving.
