We are proud of being a company of choice; something that all our employees contribute to.

Annual sales are EUR 2,5 billion. Research and development corresponds to about 20 percent of annual sales.
Your workplace
Aeronautics, a business area of Saab, offers advanced airborne systems, related subsystems, unmanned aerial systems, aerostructures and services to defence customers and commercial aerospace industries worldwide. Aeronautics is also responsible for development, production, marketing, selling and supporting of the Gripen fighter.
The section which you will be a part of is a group of 20 dedicated and competent colleagues. We are organized within the Research and Development department, and are responsible for the following technical domains; Landing Gear and Brake System, Hydraulic System and Auxiliary & Emergency Power Systems. We are also responsible for System Safety Analysis for a number of technical domains within the Vehicle Systems Area.
We realize and integrate functions in aircraft for our customers, within the responsibility of our technical domains, using mechanics, electronics and software. The work is performed in large projects as well as in minor assignments, and we corporate to a great extent with suppliers and partners in other countries.
There are many challenges for us, for example the further development of the Gripen fighter (this is where the majority of the work is performed), new businesses within the civil market and unmanned aerial vehicles.
Your role
Your role as systems engineer includes system- and equipment responsibilities within the Auxiliary & Emergency Power Systems, with focus on the Gripen fighter.
You will work in a team with colleagues from many different disciplines within Saab, as well as with our suppliers. The tasks include equipment and system documentation, for example technical specifications towards suppliers, support during testing and verification, handling of requirements etc. The majority of the work is performed in projects, and to coordinate and manage smaller assignments is also part of your role.
At present a large work package regarding development of a new control unit for the Emergency Power System is ongoing, and your role includes, amongst other things, equipment responsibility for this unit.
Your qualifications
The work requires that you have good collaboration capabilities and flexibility, and good power of initiative. Since we work with large systems it is necessary to have a methodical sense and an understanding of the overall picture.
You are a university graduate or equivalent and you have good skills in oral and written presentations in both the Swedish and the English language.
The position entails working with classified information and requires Swedish citizenship.
