Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.

The team Systems Safety is responsible for judging the system safety in the vehicle electrical system. The definition of Safety includes traffic safety, safe functions/systems, safe degradation and functional safety.

To be able to understand and enable the future needs of Safety, our responsibility is to provide a wise systemization and safe systems and functions without imparing availabilty and Scania Quality.

As a system architect, vehicle safety, you are a vital part of the development of our electrical system,

Working within the Systems Safety team requires a high level of integrity meaning be transparent and clear, without hidden agendas



Our team is now searching for the person who is interested in safely creating the Scania future electrical system.



Tasks

You will participate and perform safety analyses on vehicle level as well as for functionality and systems.

You will also to define safety concepts/architecture for the future electrical system and define the way of working.

This requires collaboration with several other Scania co-workers in all our project phases, from early concept to service, maintenance and field quality issues.

Your Profile

To succeed in this position you have a proven record of working with safety critical systems. Maybe as a system/function owner or safety manager, preferably at Scania or the TRATON group. Hence you are able to understand the technical challenges in the projects and the need for changing the way of working. Since you will be working in a global environment you express yourself fluently, both in speech and writing in English. German language is meritorious.

• You have at least 5 years of of safety related work within embedded system, preferably automotive or other safety critical industries

• You are easy to collaborate with, imaginative, analytic and have great communication skills

• You have the ability of strategic overview, to drive the development of safe products

• Your values, acting and sharing of expertise guides others in doing what is right.

• You have a good sense of humour
