The IT Systems Administrators at Jeppesen work with server builds, application design and support, systems monitoring and storage administration. They work as a team that supports the Linux and Windows Systems Infrastructure locally, but are also members of our global IT team.
As a member of our Systems Administrator team you will implement new services, servers and maintain our infrastructure. You will support and manage all systems designed by the Architecture groups to ensure that technology is always an aid, not an obstacle. You will also be an escalation point for our Helpdesk. The positions have scheduled on-call support responsibilities.
One position will perform Unix and Storage support
Desired skills for this position are:
Linux/Open Source: Red Hat (package management, kickstart, satellite), SUSE, Apache/Tomcat
Cluster: Red Hat Cluster, GFS, Understanding of Univa Grid Engine
x86 Hardware: Maintenance
Storage: NFS, iSCSI, FC, Samba, Linux filesystems (ext4, xfs), Netapp, Backups
Configuration: cfengine, puppet
Unix: Solaris
Networking: TCP/IP, Basic Cisco IOS, Basic routing, Basic understanding of firewalls
Windows: Basic server administration
One position will perform Windows support
Desired skills for this position are:
OS: Windows Server, Windows 7 (setup and advanced troubleshooting)
Software: Active directory, Group policy, Terminal servers, Exchange 2007-2010, SQL Server, Citrix XenApp, WSUS
Virtualization: Vmware ESX
Networking: TCP/IP, Basic Cisco IOS, Basic routing, Basic understanding of firewalls
Linux: Basic server administration
