Your workplace
Aeronautics, a business area of Saab, offers advanced airborne systems, related subsystems, unmanned aerial systems, aerostructures and services to defence customers and commercial aerospace industries worldwide. Aeronautics is also responsible for development, production, marketing, selling and supporting of the Gripen fighter.
Operations with flight training simulators for the Gripen is relatively new for Saab and the staff will focus on the development work that is performed to Saab to respond to its commitments to supply complete flight training system for export customers, Hungary, Czech Republic, South Africa and Thailand. The work also includes support for the Swedish Air Force simulators.
Your role
In the area of flight training simulators the work tasks will mainly consist of
• Requirements Specification and Implementation
• Integration and Test
• Participation in other development work as well as correction of troubleshooting results in aircraft simulation.
• Installation and support, both in Sweden and abroad
You will mainly work as IOS developer.
In brief, the work will comprise implementation of the requirements stated with regard to functions for the Gripen simulator in accordance with our GUI design. The work also includes installation and support.
Your qualifications
You should be proficient in the development of operator interfaces and have programming experience (Ada, C, C++, QT) as well as the ability to work both independently and in teams. You have a thorough knowledge of English,both in speech and writing.
Education: MSc, BSc or equivalent experience / skills.
Experience:
Unix / Linux development environment (preferably based on SUN Solaris / RedHat), Programming C / C++ / ADA, QT Analytical Troubleshooting, Verification, Presentation Skills.
Desirable experience / knowledge of real-time simulation, simulation systems and aircraft systems in general and Gripen in particular.
