The Driver Interaction & Infotainment department, is part of the Electrical & Electronics Systems Engineering unit within R&D. The department is responsible for electrical systems and components in the area of Driver Information, HMI/Interaction Engineering, Infotainment, Antennas and Connectivity. The section, Driver Interaction and Infotainment Analyse & Verification (A&V), within the department, consists of four groups, Vehicle Infotainment A&V, Connected Infotainment, Interaction A&V, Navi & Entertainment A&V and also System Verification Leader 's. The section leads and is responsible for analyse and verification within these areas from PS to launch.
As System Verification Leader - SVL you will quality assure the analysis and verification activities in specific vehicle programs, leading and coordinating in agreement with managers at Analysis & Verification, System Project Leader, Feature Team Leaders, System Responsible, Attribute Leaders, Lead Engineers, and Test Leaders/Analysis Engineers. You will be part of a management core team for the section from which you will build a network and experience of Volvo development process and project work.
Main responsibilities
* General program test plan and progress/result
* Support in analysis and verification needs
* Secure that test requests are created and updated
* Report an overall and holistic view of project/program test status to SPL and line management
* Optimise need and secure plan for test vehicles, test object and subsets/rigs cross projects and platforms
* When changed prerequisites, optimise usage of test objects. Risk analysis of new test setup to be agreed with responsible engineer
* Contribute with A&V lessons learned in project "white books" to secure that experiences are used in upcoming projects
* Link between R&D and test facilities/suppliers
* Support Design engineer in discussions with suppliers
Required qualifications
* Bachelor in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
* 5 years' experience of development work in the automotive industry
* Have earlier project leader experience in an international environment
* Fluent in English, written and spoken
* Driver 's license B
* Earlier test leader assignment is meritorious
* Knowledge of VCC development process in general and the electrical development process is meritorious
