The Media Processing Division (MPD) in ARM has the mission to be at the forefront of advanced multimedia IP products for the consumer, wireless and automotive infotainment markets. The Mali range of VPUs (Video Processors) delivers an advanced architecture for hardware acceleration of video codecs, specifically tuned for low energy consumption and high performance.
ARM, the world’s leading silicon IP company, has acquired pioneering Sweden-based video and imaging technology company Logipard AB, establishing the new ARM Sweden office in Lund as a center of excellence for silicon implementation of video encode and decode technologies.
As the new ARM Sweden, the team look forward to employing additional engineers, to establish the newly-launched ARM Mali-VE multi-standard video engine products as the technology of choice for video coding within mobile devices and to ensure the long term roadmap for the product range.
Publiceringsdatum2009-08-11Dina arbetsuppgifterThe role includes defining and developing test-cases and test-suites, presenting test results, defect tracking, debugging and failure analysis. The test framework is highly automated, so script-programming and C programming is an essential part of the daily work. Within the MPD Video team verification engineers are working close together with hardware and software engineers to achieve efficient verification and known quality throughout all project phases.
Managing, designing and improving the automatic test framework including release testing and continuous over-night testing
Test planning, specification and reporting
Video standard compliance processes
Continuously enhancing test suites in terms of coverage and efficiency
Defect tracking
KvalifikationerA masters degree in computer science or similar is expected, although other science graduates will be considered if they have relevant experience.
Required Attributes
Experience in software testing, test automation and test methodologies
Good knowledge in UNIX and scripting languages such as bash and python
Good knowledge in C programming
Video coding standard experience is preferable
Ability to express ideas and communicate effectively
Good Swedish language skills, both written and spoken, are preferable
Excellent English language skills, both written and spoken, are essential
