The WCDMA RAN system integration and verification department is responsible for integration and verification of the different nodes. We also, together with other development units, integrate and verify end-to-end UMTS features and solutions. Furthermore, we are involved in FOA and rollout activities when launching new system releases and features.
3G has been in commercial use for some time now and there is a challenging race between all 3G system providers. Time to market with new features, high product quality with excellent in service performance and high production capacity will be the key success factors for deciding which system providers remain in the lead into the future.
Job description
Our unit, within the WCDMA RAN integration and verification organization, is looking for a System Tester with radio network competence. You will work as a robustness troubleshooter within system verification and be involved in analyzing network-level requirements and specifications, and executing robustness test cases in a loaded WCDMA network.
You will also participate in pre-study, feasibility studies and test analysis, and will be part of a number of different project teams. You will also be responsible for writing verification specification and reports, the integration of new features in the WCDMA system, verification of robustness of a WCDMA system under load, troubleshooting on found problems in RNC and RBS (particularly in the RNC), writing trouble reports and verifying corrections.
Qualification (formal education needed)
A Master of Science in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science is an advantage, but a bachelor degree in telecom or data is acceptable.
Requested competence
As a System Tester, you should have a minimum of two years system verification experience within WCDMA network and/or experience from integration, verification and troubleshooting on node level. You should also have experience of identifying complicated problems, highly developed knowledge of most RNC and RBS functions and protocols, and solid knowledge of node characteristics.
Knowledge on signal level (or of using signaling diagrams) and how functions are implemented, as well as good understanding of interfacing nodes in the WCDMA network, is also required.
