Purpose of the Job
As a System Test Engineer in Stockholm you will be part of a highly qualified design team directly connected with System, Safety, Software and Hardware Engineers to develop one of the most successful transportation products in the world.
We develop embedded systems using the latest industrial technology and standards to guarantee the flow of trains, people safety and system integrity. All our products undergo extensive testing in both lab and field. You will be responsible for verifying our products throughout their development and life cycle.
The ideal candidate could be a profile with several years of experience in the field of testing and developing but we are also open for junior/newly graduated profiles with the right motivation, drive and background/Degree.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Design Test Equipment for Test Automation.
• Execute and define Test Cases during the design phase, resolve issues together with the Hardware, Software and System Engineers.
• Execute the final Tests for formal Verification.
• Create Test Specifications from Product Requirements and write Test Reports.
• Support the development during the design phase by reviewing the requirements on testability and function based on your experience.
Qualifications
Key requirements:
• Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering (preferably Electrical, Computer Science, Applied Physics or similar).
• Several years of experience within test or design and development from either a similar position OR for newly graduated through university projects and internships.
• Basic knowledge of embedded systems, understanding schematics and layouts of embedded Hardware.
• Good knowledge in programming within C, Python, Matlab or similar.
• Experience with IP based networks.
• Experience with test automation.
• English at a fluent level is mandatory for this role (both written and spoken).
Competencies:
We see the ideal candidate possessing the following personality and competencies:
• Experience in testing systems including integrated hardware and software. Use of measuring instruments i.e. oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, etc.
• Experience from working with change management systems to report deviations and verify changes.
• Experience from similar industries with safety applications, (automotive, industrial, aerospace) is an advantage.
• Knowledge of communication protocols is an advantage (TCP/IP, SNMP, UDP, Serial communication and ability to understand proprietary protocols).
• Experience with Climate, EMC or Vibration Tests is considered a plus.
• Pro-active and structured working approach.
