Do you like to break stuff? Were you the kind of kid that loved to take devices apart to see how they were built? Are you constantly whining about how things could be better designed or built and come up with suggestions how to improve them?
In that case, you could be the perfect fit to our testing team! We are currently looking for an experienced test engineer who is on a quest to find and correct any issues, so the end-users can enjoy a problem-free experience of our premium products.
So who are we?
We are the Group for System Testing & Test Lead at Electrical & Software Architecture at Volvo Group Trucks Technology in Gothenburg.
To be more precise; we are a group of passionate testers who refuse to see testing as anything else than a form of art. We & our colleagues test and develop the best trucks in the world!
And what do we do?
We test the electrical system where most of the software in our vehicles is located. We constantly improve our test methods and we combine the most suitable test methodologies to excel.
Within our scope of responsibility lies the work with development of new test methods, processes, tools and the need for test equipment. And we test, test and test!
Why do we do that?
We do this in order to secure that the electrical system (the soul of the truck) is behaving according to requirements as well as the customer's high expectation on our products and thereby being a candidate for release.
In essence we are a group of highly motivated and skilled engineers that love our work and use our creativity and current tools to secure product quality. As a part of this group you will get a very good overview of the trucks complete electrical system and the trucks functionality.
We trust the individual and act as a team, are close to the product and provide an opportunity for professional and personal growth.

Who are you?
Well, we believe that you are genuinely interested in automotive and electronics engineering.
You are curious with an eye for details and do not settle until perfection is reached.
You are driven by quality and technology.
You have been working with test for several years, preferably with a high exploratory approach.
On top of that you are customer-focused, enjoy working in teams as well as individually and love testing.
It is important that testing and automotive are the two words that really excite you!
And did we mention testing?
Preferred skills:
Minimum 5 years of testing experience, preferably with high exploratory approach within automotive
Truck Driver's licence (CE)
Knowledge and experience of product development
Fluent in written and spoken English
