Qbrick builds and operates solutions for Web TV and Mobile TV. We have solutions to transcode media from one format to another for live and on-demand. Our CDN (content distribution network) delivers content to all end users and we are the supplier with most video capabilities in Scandinavia. For this, we also provide solutions to manage and publish content. Together, our services complete end-to-end solutions for Web TV and Mobile TV. The key words that characterize our development are SAAS, distributed solutions, redundancy, high availability, quality, cost and speed.

ABOUT YOUR TEAM

Qbrick offers good general terms, social and dedicated colleagues based around Europe and a market space in which you can gain unique competence and knowledge. You will work in our Operations team located in Stockholm.

ABOUT YOUR DAILY JOB

You will work with maintenance and monitoring of the Qbrick infrastructure, services and servers. This includes the design and implementation of new components in the operating environment as well as to plan and configure new services and network infrastructure. Problem solving, documentation and quality routines will be part of your daily job.

Our environment consists of a mix of Windows and Linux, such as Windows server (AD, GP, Software) and also includes Linux system management mainly with CentOS and Arch Linux. Our work pace is high and we constantly try our best to succeed expectations. Our systems and architecture requires good skills in design patterns as well as good knowledge about scalability and load balancing. The role will give room for your creative ideas and we welcome initiatives to improve our solutions. This position includes an on-call duty every 4-6 weeks.

ABOUT YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

You can present good academic results and a proven interest within IT. Probably you have worked a few years as a system administrator and you possess broad IT skills that will help you in the day-to-day operations. Experience from working with high-performance redundant distributed cluster solutions within a Windows / Linux environment is a plus.

Qbrick has a multi-national network and operates it in-house. The role requires hands on experience from large layer 2 and layer 3 networks, preferably with Brocade and/or Cisco equipment. Knowledge and experience from IGP protocols (preferably ISIS) and BGP is a requirement. Deeper traffic analysis and traffic engineering experience is a plus.
