This Opportunity
Delphi Electronics and Safety development office in Gothenburg (former Mecel) specialize in software and systems development and function ownership within the Active Safety domain. The need for Active Safety products is rapidly growing and in order to manage projects and deliver products to all European OEMs, Delphi is now hiring over 10 experts in this specific area.
As a System Safety Engineer you will be working with the full lifecycle of the safety process - from concept and requirements through design and analysis to testing and implementation. You will be supporting the development of ISO26262 compliant processes and work products for Delphi. In this role you will function as an ambassador for Delphi within the areas of Systems Engineering and Functional Safety.
Your task
• Specify safety strategies and requirements for system architecture and design
• Support development of robust, fail-safe, or fault tolerant architectures and components to satisfy safety requirements
• Understand and be responsible for the impact of ISO26262 requirements on the project
• Involved in the development and maintenance of templates, guidelines, work instructions, and other work products
• Interact with customers concerning System and Functional Safety inquiries
• Plan and conduct internal meetings in regards of Functional Safety matters
• Bridge ISO26262 standard to applicable implementation in the project
• Interpret and analyse standard in order to develop best practises within the project
Your skills
• Masters of Science E/D/IT/Z or similar education level
• Experience of the Automotive Industry
• Past experience working with Functional safety and ISO 26262
• Documented knowledge of Automotive SPICE
• Previous experience working with active safety systems
• Systems engineering experience
• Experience working with multiplex/distributed systems
• Must be fluent in English, both verbal and written
• Decent verbal and written skills in Swedish desired but not required
