The section of Safety Electronics has been a rapidly growing part of Volvo Car Group over the last
decade. Active Safety is an area where Volvo, through continuous launching of new and innovative and world first safety features, has positioned itself among the leaders of the automotive industry.
The group Safety Electronics Architecture within Safety Electronics has the mission to develop the next generation active safety system. We are involved in all aspects of the product development process, from early research and advanced engineering projects to industrialisation of the systems. Given the challenges and complexity within the Active Safety area we have the possibility to strengthen our team with a System Design Engineer in the ongoing industrialisation and advanced engineering programs.
As System Safety Engineer you will be a part of the team that is leading the technical development of the next generation Active Safety and ADAS Systems. You are responsible for applying the system safety processes and methods in accordance with the safety standard ISO26262. You will work in close cooperation with the component and system engineers and project lead engineer aswell as with
suppliers. At Volvo Car Group the opportunities for personal development are excellent as we have
development centres in Sweden and China as well as a number of ongoing research projects. The area of Active Safety domain nodes is a rapidly growing technology branch. Therefor it is of importance to stay tuned with latest technical achievements within the industry.
Main responsibilities
* Plan and coordinate system safety activities and deliverables with both internal teams and
* suppliers
* Specifying system safety requirements in accordance with ISO26262, in cooperation with component design engineers
* Create and maintain System Safety Plan and Safety Case
* Plan and perform System Safety assessments of suppliers
Required qualifications
* M.Sc. degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics or similar
* Experience of ISO26262
* Experience of AutoSar
* Experience from system engineering or software design within the automotive sector
* Experience from requirement management
* Experience from structured work in a structured development process
* Excellent English skills, both verbally and in writing
* Driver's licence (type B)
