AVL in Gothenburg and Trollhättan is looking for engineers interested in functional safety. As a safety engineer you will strengthen the local safety team's ability to handle safety critical systems within advanced driver assisted systems (ADAS) and electrification of drive-lines. As a safety engineer you are involved in the complete safety life cycle ranging from early concept development (HARA, FSC, TSC) to implementation, verification and validation in car.

As an applicant you can either be in the beginning of your career or have several years of experience from functional safety. Most importantly you are self-driven and have the interest and ability to find the best solutions and optimal trade-offs between safety and availability. Within AVL you will work with state of the art technology and secure that functional safety is met according to ISO26262 and SOTIF standards.

Your background
M.Sc.,/B.Sc./PhD within the areas of physics, mechatronics, electronics or similar.

Meritorious qualifications:
Experience from the automotive industry and/or functional safety development.
Knowledge about ISO26262 and/or SOTIF standards.
Experience from Matlab/Simulink and C/C++.
Fluent in English and preferably Swedish. German is a plus.
