We are part of GM Powertrain, a global company with business in 17 countries and with over 50 000 employees. Today GM Powertrain Sweden has around 600 employees situated at two sites: controls-, engine development and engine production in Södertälje and hybrid development, integration, controls- and transmissions development, engine development and exhaust aftertreatment in Trollhättan.
System Safety Engineer – Transmission Control
Duties:
Your responsibility is to lead the development of safety functionality for our new transmission systems. The development work will be done using theoretical analysis, simulations, labs and prototype vehicles. You will work with safety experts for different technical areas within the global GM Corporation. The result of your work will be used in GM vehicles globally. Business trips both within and outside of Sweden is part of the assignment.
You will work in the Powertrain Diagnostic Development group in Trollhättan. The group is working with cutting edge powertrain control system technology for future vehicle projects and has continuous co-operation with safety experts and safety engineers in Sweden, US, Italy, France and Germany. Skills in the English language are required.
Background:
You are a M.Sc. or B.Sc. with experience of development work within the automotive industry. You have experience in embedded powertrain systems for vehicles and have knowledge and experience in development work of Safety Critical Systems. Experience of Fault Tree Analysis, Hazard Analysis and Failure Mode Effect Analysis and is a merit. Drivers license category B is required.
