Special Products and Accessories is a "stand-alone" organization within Vehicle Line Management. It is a fast and nimble organization, where the main mission is to create customized and brand building products, based upon consumer insight, business and market needs. Special Products also creates products that attract new customer groups, for example the XC90 Excellence, Carbon edition and phone as key. During year 2013, R&D Accessories merged into Special Products organisation where the main mission is to maximize synergies between factory-fitted options and dealer mounted accessories.
The group Infotainment & Customization is a part of the R&D and Manufacturing department within Special Products & Accessories. The group consists of app. 25 persons and is one of six development groups. The group responsibility is to develop products and functions within the Infotainment and Customization area for Special Products and Accessories. The product portfolio today contains products like XC90 Excellence, Lounge Console, Police cars, taxi cars, RSE/Rear Seat Entertainment, Cameras, TV and Media streaming device. We work in close cooperation with our product planning organization to find new ideas and our products significantly contribute to Volvo Cars Business result.
We are now looking for a SA / System Responsible that will be part of an existing team of SA and system designers. Main focus will be to strengthen our team in early phases of all coming products and services. Since we are looking into several new products and services that is Volvo First (world first) we aim to find a person that like to work with exciting challenges and is willing to drive for result in an environment where we do things for the first time.
Main responsibility
* Secure progress in all our Advanced Engineering projects, together with existing Advanced Engineering team
* Drive own Advanced Engineering when time allows
* Deliver strategies and technical plan for our different technical areas
* Responsible for early phases in our projects
* Secure a good communication with our Product Planning, both accessories and cars
* Secure benchmark for our different technical areas
* Transfer of knowledge to Design Guidelines, Design Prerequisites and Technical Regulations
* System Development Plans
* System solutions described in System Decision Alternatives
Required qualifications
* M.Sc.., Bachelor of Science or equivalent technical training, preferably with specialisation in Computer / Electronics
* At least 5 year experience from Electrical development and system
* Ability to deal with a lot of information and quickly acquire new knowledge.
* Good communication skills and computer skills
* Driving License: B (valid)
* Good knowledge of Electrical architecture
* Good Understanding of our product development system

* High level of energy, open minded and innovative
* Good communication skills
* Good experience of summarising issues and present it for top management in a way to create decisions
* Excellent English skills, verbally and in writing
