Propulsion Strategy and Innovation has the leading role for the Propulsion unit deliveries in concept phase and technology development. The main task for the department is to lead, analyse and develop concepts and system solutions for propulsion including hybrid systems in the next generation of Volvo Car vehicles.
As a System Responsible SA1 HV you will be a member of Electrical Propulsion System CAE & Systems Design. This group consists of three teams; a CAE team, a system design team and a system safety and diagnose team. We work with the electrical propulsion system for the electric vehicles and full hybrids. Some of the important parts of our systems in the vehicles are High Voltage Batteries, Electric Motors, Inverters and Chargers. Our group works cross-functional within the electrical propulsion system in areas as Systems Design, Diagnostics & Dependability, Electrical Safety, Architecture and Simulations (CAE).
Main responsibilities
* Assignment leader for Electric Propulsion Systems Design in the Concept phase.
* Involved in advance engineering projects.
* Involved in balancing of Attribute requirements.
* Receive the attribute requirements for HV system. Distribute the requirements to electrical propulsion Sub-Systems.
* Ensures scalability of the System between platforms.
* Ensuring that system development is carried out in accordance with strategies technology insights
* Participates in supplier inquiries and benchmarks.
Required qualifications
* Very good theoretical and practical knowledge of the technical area
* Experience from Systems Engineering methodologies
* Experience from Project Management
* M.Sc Electrical engineering
* 3 years of work experience within Electrical propulsion area
* Driver's license B
