Who we are
Power Propulsion Systems (PPS) Concept Engineering team consists of 13 engineers with technical expertise within combustion-, aftertreatment- and boosting systems. Our mission is to develop technical solutions for internal combustion engines in hybrid applications fulfilling the customer needs of tomorrow. Our main responsibility is to outline the attribute strategical direction and lead development by defining and optimizing targets and requirements. We work closely together with the Engine attribute analysis team in defining the functional verification scope.
What will you do
You will take on the responsibility of managing requirement- and target setting for the next generation four cylinder petrol hybrid engines. Therefore it is critical for you to possess technical competence to effectively handle the significant increase in complexity of the emission legislation by the introduction of Real Driving Emissions. Your daily work will require a large and strong network both within own system area and cross-functional towards other areas, such as Controls & Calibration, Transmission and Engine Installation. You will weekly manage the Engine Design Review Meeting and occasionally present status reports in own department- as well as adjacent department technical fora's.
This position will give you the opportunity to develop your leadership competencies, to continue build on your technical skills and gain a broad engine knowledge, as well as to build and maintain a network that includes people all over the company. You will work in a continuously growing and changing field, with a direct influence on customer satisfaction of our new world class engines.
You and your skills
We believe you have at least Master degree within Mechanical engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Mechatronics or equivalent. Due to seniority of the position, we are looking for you who have at least 5 years or more working experience in automotive domain and product development knowledge.
You have deep knowledge of combustion system development, measurement techniques and thermodynamics, as well as previous work experience within combustion engineering, engine design and testing, engine calibration, fuels and lubes or having general powertrain competence.
You have previous leadership experience and already established network within the area of combustion engines. You are fluent in English, you possess a driver's license "B", valid in Sweden and you have the ability to travel if necessary.
