The section 97570, Industrialization & Maintenance consists of about 24 Section Project leaders (SPL) and SPL Quality. The main task for the SPL is to lead, manage and plan project deliverables within the department PCC (Propulsion Controls & Calibration).
PCC develop and optimize the powertrain control system and assess powertrain attributes such as for example drivability, fuel consumption (range), emissions and OBD, for conventional, hybrid and electric vehicles. The SPL has a key role to manage the teams within the department and assure top quality project deliveries which significantly contributes to Volvo Cars products and the total business result.
We, 97570, are now on our way into a very exiting phase with many highly interesting projects about to be kicked off. Therefore we are reinforcing our team with new Systems Project leaders.
Main responsibilities
* Lead and plan SPL team to fulfil customer, budget, technical and legal requirements within the department Propulsion Controls & Calibration 97500
* Encourage the team to development and achieve world class properties
* Report and escalate project status to Unit Project Leader and department line organisation
* Contribute with a broad perspective in technical details
* Direct contact with necessary departments within Vehicle propulsion/Chassis/Electrical Engineering
Required qualifications
* Experience from Software development and calibration within automotive industry
* BSc (meritorious MSc) within electronics, physics, mechatronics or similar
* Project leader skills
* Fluent in English (spoken and written)
* Driver's license (B)

* Good communication and cooperation skills
* High ability to build relationships and network
* Ability to drive and implement change
* Good analytic and coordination skills
* Enjoy and have a good sense for both operational and strategic work
* Ability to prioritize
