We currently have the following job opening;
System Project Leader within Cooling Systems
To the module team Cooling and Air Intake System we are looking for a System Project Leader system to the Cooling System Engineering team. The team is responsible for powertrain thermal management, part in the climate thermal management, and part in the management of battery thermal management.
The role
As System Project Leader (SPL) within Cooling Systems you will be responsible for all deliveries within the system area of a specific project. You will lead a project team of System Engineers and Design Engineers. Your main responsibility is within the detailed design phase that starts after Concept Definition and ends with transfer to the launch organization located in China.
Responsibilities and tasks
- Visualize, plan and lead a project team within Cooling System
- Lead the project group work within Cooling System and secure fulfillment of cost, time and project targets
- Drive, develop and finalize development of engineering solutions to meet project requirements
- Establish necessary engineering documents as input to supplier sourcing
- Report directly to Module Team Director and Unit Project Leader for Powertrain Integration and anchor major decisions with Cooling System Management
- Run project meetings within Cooling System and participate in various meetings within CEVT as well as with our colleagues in Sweden and China
- Manage risks to minimize impact on project, pro-actively escalate risks and concerns to Cooling System Management.
- Define, plan and monitor system development, testing and validation
- Support pre-serial vehicle builds
- Align solution of conceptual issues with System Concept Manager
- Lead and coordinate cross functional team (System/design engineers, Purchasing, SQM, ME, CAE, validation, etc.) after delivered concept phase.
Requirements:
- Minimum B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience from project management work in the Automotive Industry
- Leadership skills with ability to inspire, drive, motivate and coach team members
- Experience from automotive engineering development
- A flexible mind set with ability to lead change and development and take decisions
- Ability to work independently and take decisions to deliver according to targets and project plans in a changing environment
- Willing to help others and to ask for help when needed
- Excellent in cooperation, networking and team working
- Fluency in English both written and spoken
- Cultural awareness
- Ability to travel
