What can we offer?
World class development. You will lead design and development of Vehicle Dynamics, such as Steering, Suspension, Engine Mounting, Wheels and Tires. You'll take on a significant role in the future development of our new bus models and optimization of current buses. Operation of a global team of 8 designers working in this area. The role includes varying tasks within the design area from system requirement specifications to detailed design. You will work in various engineering projects and be involved in all phases of the product development process. Ensuring high standards, the role requires good networking ability and close contact with our stakeholders.
Main Responsibilities
You will be a part of the Vehicle Dynamics and Pneumatics Group within the Chassis and Driveline department. You will be system owner for Vehicle Dynamics and you'll work in close cooperation with team engineers. You will also cooperate with other areas of the Vehicle Dynamics and Pneumatics group.
The overall responsibility of the group is to secure quality for various vehicle dynamics features performance in bus products. Scope of this assignment covers particular regard for vehicle geometry, cost and quality, as well as related requirements and features. Approx. 14 co-workers are engaged in the group and the department holds global responsibility. You will be a part of a global team and co-operate with our sites in India, Poland, Mexico, and Brazil, as well as with our Volvo-owned brands: Prevost and Nova. The position will entail occasional travel, so a team player spirit is essential and you'll need top-notch communication skills.

Qualifications
• You're an experienced design engineer, working within the automotive industry or similar, with particular skills in product development
• Since you will be working with Steering, Suspension, Engine mounting, Wheels and Tires, skills within kinematic design, vibration, ride comfort and handling, wheel alignment and tire wear will be especially valued
• You have solid knowledge of Volvo systems and processes
• Since you will be working with complete bus features, a driver's license for buses is a distinct advantage
