Ekman has 250 employees working at about 40 locations throughout the world. In addition, we have a well established international network of agents and representatives covering every market where pulp, paper or recovered materials is produced or consumed.
The operations are coordinated from our three hubs in Gothenburg, Miami and Hong Kong. These three offices are fully equipped and self-sufficient trading houses, capable of providing all of the different services we offer to our principals. All other offices within the Ekman Group are focused on the sales and marketing efforts for a limited number of local markets.
The main operational divisions within the Ekman Group are Pulp, Paper & Packaging, Recovered Materials and Bioenergy. Currently Pulp accounts for about 64% of the total volume, Paper and Packaging for 7%, Recovered Materials for 28% and Bioenergy 1%.
Job Description
The successful candidate's main responsibility will be managing the company's worldwide ERP system. The ERP system encompasses both order processing as well as an integrated accounting application. You will be the primary interface between the users and the US based software vendor with regard to systems improvement , updates and enhancements. In addition, the position will manage all training and support tied to these systems.
One of the key goals of the position will be to ensure conformity between databases throughout the global system. International travel and a high level of communication will be required to successfully develop systems improvements and installation in new locations. You report to the IT Manager.
Skills Required
The candidate must have 2-5 years of experience in accounting and information technology and implementation. Accounting experience must include a detailed understanding of the accounting process, group
consolidations, work flows and processes. Knowledge of SQL is preferable
and a basic understanding of data bases. A detailed working knowledge of Microsoft Office is required Excellent oral and written communication skills, the ability to work in teams in a rapidly changing work environment are necessary skills. The successful candidate must be fluent in Swedish and English.
You have a dedicated and responsible personality with a goal oriented, rigorous and structured mind. You have good analytical and communicative skills as well as a business oriented approach. We place great emphasis on personal characteristics; you are a social person with ability to work in teams and create networks. You enjoy a rapid changing work environment and you speak both Swedish and English fluently.
