The Device and SIM Researcher acts as the global expert in SmartTrust on the topic of Mobile Device Open source Software, in the connection to SIM and microSD, including how to develop and use software in Device Open Source communities like Android and Symbian. You shall have a strong background in Operating systems and a strong hands-on experience in Embedded Software development. The position advises R&D Management, and represents SmartTrust in Open Source communities and towards partners like Google and Mobile Operators. As System Management Research expert you designs and decides on relevant Software Architectures, manages cross- regional software development projects, and is responsible for imitating the relevant roadmaps, skills & competence inside SmartTrust.
In addition, The Device and SIM Researcher act as Technology Scout for SmartTrust in the Open Source community for SmartTrust R&D Technology Office, identifying and assessing relevant innovations and technology companies.
The Device and SIM Researcher Identifies and assesses innovative technologies and relevant technology (start-up) companies in, and advises R&D Management on competitive landscape and partnership opportunities.
The job requires:
A minimum of 10 years software expert in multiple operating systems with focus on embedded systems
Expert in Embedded systems
Expert in Mobile handset open source operating systems
Expert in SIM related software development in open source handset operating systems
Expert skills in Android
Good knowledge in mobile operating systems (Windows, Linux, Android, Symbian, etc.)
Good skills in java
Good skills in c++ and c
Good skills in Hardware ? Software interaction
Good skills in Open Source contribution process
