We currently have the following job opening;
System Manager Pre-studies
The function area Powertrain Engineering is responsible for the development of transmissions and electric propulsion systems and the controls associated with these systems. In the area, the newly formed unit of Advanced Engineering & Concepts is the responsible project function for the development of new technology systems and concepts. These technologies are the main future, global powertrain solutions for the Geely group.
To strengthen our team for future challenges and projects, we are now looking for a System Manager Pre-studies.
Role Summary
As System Manager Pre-studies - Powertrain Engineering Advanced Engineering & Concepts you manage the pre-study work and its strategic aspects for the technology development at Powertrain Engineering. In your daily work, you work closely with the different organizational functions at Powertrain Engineering as well as Product Planning. Together, you are developing and maintaining the plan for the next generation(s) of competitive powertrain technology. One of your first activities will be the definition of a transparent process for the strategic technology work at Powertrain Engineering.
Responsibilities and tasks
- Identify the key drivers for future technology development directions
- Technology scout and drive the benchmark of technology trends
- Identify future key technologies and development partners for realization
- Lead pre-studies throughout Powertrain Engineering and present the results
- Plan and maintain the technology strategy at Powertrain Engineering
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor or Master Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
- More than 5 years of relevant work experience in strategic planning of powertrain technology
- Good understanding of present/future trends within automotive technology
- Strategic thinking and ability to convert technology trends into the context of an organization
- Team player but have the ability to work independently
- Good oral and written communication skills in English
- Cultural awareness, especially Asian - European culture
- Ability to travel
- Driver's license B
