The Position
The position is within the Packet Core Systems and Technology unit (S&T). At S&T, you will define the system solutions for next generations of Packet Core. You will analyze and create (theoretically or by prototyping) implementation options for individual network functions as well as for network level functionality.

Responsibilities
Design system solutions, both from a black box and white box perspective.
Drive technology leadership: propose and conduct studies, define and implement proof of concepts and investigate pros and cons of different implementation technologies.
Work closely with our product owners; be involved in early technical discussions.
Support sales process with Q&A activities.
Be a member in the system management community.
In order to succeed, you shall have the following qualifications and skills:
Working experience in a relevant area, such as product development, system integration, product management or similar, connected to Telecom / IT or related technologies.
You have an understanding of how technical and business aspects works together to implement the best product offerings. You enjoy collaboration with others and are stimulated by solving problems.
We expect you to have MSc level or the equivalent level of knowledge, and have experience from one or several of the following areas: telecom, IT systems or cloud development. Your experience should include working with product implementation, system integration or verification.
Since an important part of the job is to share your findings and insights to others, you must be proficient in English and have highly developed skills for sharing technical expertize.
We work with exploring new technology, so you should be a quick learner as well as dare to come up with own ideas on how to do things. Our customer needs are always in first focus and you need to be excellent in understanding them.
And it is great if you have these additional skills and experiences:
Competence in routing/networking, IT protocols, data transport layers.
Experience from system/service integration at customers.
Programming knowledge of several programming languages and platforms.
Knowledge of data plane implementation.
Experience from agile product development.
Competence in cloud development.
