The Solutions Department develops one Cloud Packet Core for all accesses and services, with dual-mode operations, 4G and 5G. We deliver IoT, Mobile Broadband and Enterprise Core in different cloud environments. What we do is a vital part of the accelerating digital transformation, building our networked society where everything and everyone that can be connected will be connected.
We are looking for engaged system managers to contribute to Ericsson's best-in-class 5G Cloud Packet Core products and solutions!
The open positions are within the section Solution Design and System Management. This section consists of around 20 System Managers and Product Owners.
You will
Focus on our value offerings and especially how they deploy and perform in cloud environments, both container and VM based
Be part of and collaborating with the System Manager team, and you will also coach and support the validation teams
Work with the characteristics and non-functional requirements of our Packet Core deployments
Get the opportunity to work with deployments and installation aspects, doing studies on orchestration, capacity and performance tuning
Perform studies and investigations covering primarily the capacity, networking, HW and Cloud technical areas for new features and solutions (the receivers of these studies are Product Line, Product Owners and Development/Validation Teams)
Produce Solution Requirements from input such as studies, markets and product Line
Support Customer Units (CUs) and support Quotations (Q&A, RFQs, RFCs, RFPs), e.g. have technical dialogue with CUs to understand customer requirements and customer feedback
Identifying and drive improvements in our solutions, products and way of working
Engage in close collaboration with colleagues and other teams to make sure that the performance and characteristics of the solutions are world-class
To be successful in the role you must have
Cloud Native and Virtualization competence (e.g. Kubernetes, Openstack, VMware. SDN)
Packet Core Domain knowledge
Computer Networking (e.g. routing and switching) competence
System Security knowledge
The ability to work in a team as well as independently and enjoy engaging with third parties
Passion and willingness to broaden your competence and share with others)
Positive can-do attitude
