We are searching for experienced system engineers for assignments in the telecom sector.
Assignment tasks:
• Primary work for a system functional engineer at Radio system is to maintain and develop our FS's (functional specification) and functional DS's (design specification).
• The FS describe the behavior requirements (use case) for radio HW products (RU, RRU or dual TX RU) in a RBS (Radio Base Station).
• The functional DS describe how the Radio work and how HW and SW interact. Note, that it is only in this document that this is described. The performance DS is strictly for HW design.
• The specifications needs to be updated/reviewed for every RAN (Radio Access Network) release for all standards (WCDMA, LTE, GSM, LTE-TDD, CDMA) and every HW (new and current) that the functionality (SW) will support. We work according the principle of one track radio-SW. Which means that the SW will be backward compatible to earlier releases and SW will fit in all HW that the radio support (approx 30 different HW).
Competence in these areas would be preferable:
• Data communication, RBS and radio architecture, Radios external IWD (interwork description) and O&M.
• Systems engineering in general and functional specification (FS/DS) in particular.
• SW-design (C/C++), DB (data base), ASIC, FPGA, Clearcase and/or UML.
• Radio HW design, RF, signal processing.
• HW/SW connection.
• Requirements-management tool like ReqPro.
• Technical studies, investigations, change requests (CR) and trouble reports (TR).
• Product structure, configuration management and project planning.
• Leader/driver skills
