We currently have the following job opening;
System Engineer - Wheel & tyre development
We are looking for a System Engineer responsible for wheel and tyre Development. You will work close together with a team of 4 persons, both from Sweden and China, responsible for all wheel and tyre development for the CMA platform.
Responsibilities and tasks
• Supplier contacts with Global and local Chinese suppliers, with weekly meetings.
• Be in close contact with the CEVT Vehicle Dynamics Attribute team and Geely Design styling team.
• Balance attribute requirements (NVH, handling, fuel efficiency, braking) and technical requirements with supplier ability.
• Balance styling proposals against technical requirements and supplier process ability.
• Lead a cross functional team for your components with Attribute team, Product Planning, Geely Design, Purchase, Supplier Quality Assurance, Volvo Cars & CEVT Testing and Suppliers.
• Be responsible for the overall time planning for your components.
• Release models and drawings in Team Center as input for styling loops.
• Change Management administration in CEVT Share Point and Team Center systems.
Profile and Background
• Minimum B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering
• Experience from Chassis System Development.
• Wheel technical design specific knowledge is a merit.
• Tyre technical development specific knowledge and/or tire testing experience is a merit.
• Knowledge of the ETRTO standard.
• Catia V5 and Team Center skills are a merit.
• Microsoft Office
• Knowledge in Catia V5
• Knowledge in Team Center
• Positive attitude and interested in finding solutions together with other people/teams.
• Willing to help others and to ask for help when needed.
• Have an openness and awareness of Asian, European and foreign cultures.
