The Product Development Unit (PDU) 4G&5G is responsible for development, release and maintenance of both 4G and 5G Networks.
We are now looking for a System Engineers in Radio Access Network Management and Orchestration
Responsibilities & Tasks
The Product and Architecture department within the PDU 4G and 5G RAN is responsible for specifying requirements and solutions for the 4G and 5G RAN including the MS RBS node and OSS/ENM.
The work in the Operation and Maintenance team is focused on developing new management solutions to give our customers a simple and cost effective management for the 4G and 5G RAN. With development of 5G we introduce new distributed architecture and Cloud technologies lifting part of the Radio Network to a virtualized environment. To handle the increased complexity of the system we are introducing new technologies like orchestration, machine learning, automation and analytics. A clear trend in the industry is management solution based on Open Source eco systems e.g. ONAP where we need to be an active and leading player.
We are using Agile way of working when developing new features and new concepts. We are responsible for the Technology Analysis, that includes roadmap work, development plans and concept studies that contributes to the overall technology strategy. We also drive pre prestudies and pre-studies in the Continuous Analysis phase of the product development.
For you as a System developer there will be opportunities for several interesting and challenging tasks, such as driving studies, acting as bridge to design and verification, taking responsibility for a specific technical area, KanBan master, standardization work, customer contacts and more.
Position Qualifications
You are self-motivated and analytical with a high ability to understand, develop and drive technical solutions. It is important that you communicate well in English, both verbally and in writing. The daily work requires high abilities to work in teams as well as independently to achieve results on time and with quality.

Your profile
• Education: MSc level in a technical discipline or the equivalent level of knowledge
• Minimum 5 years industry experience
• Experience of network management/O&M system design for telecom networks
• Excellent understanding of system design
• Experience in Radio Networks, Cloud technologies, Machine Learning, Security, Open Source projects and/or Analytics is a plus
• Strong self-drive, perseverance and communication skills
• Fluent in written and spoken English
