We currently have the following job opening:
System Engineer – Powertrain Mounts
As a System Engineer you are working with the development of components and systems within one of CEVT’s module teams. The module team consists of four product areas and this job opening is within the team working with Powertrain Mounts.
The two main tasks in this area are to mount the powertrain in the car and isolate the body from powertrain movements and road excitations. This gives a broad scope of work including leading the balance of the attributes e.g. NVH and drivability together with the Attribute owners at CEVT. There is as well an intense collaboration with our system suppliers located around the globe. The work includes the entire scope from requirements and concepts through the industrialization phase and into production launch.
Responsibilities and tasks
• Driving the Powertrain Mounts design and development on component and system level to meet cost, quality and attribute requirements in your vehicle project
• Leading the supplier choice, collaboration and follow-up work all the way to production
• Close collaboration with the attribute leaders to ensure a well-balanced system
• Securing packaging feasibility within given frames together with the Mounts design engineer and the vehicle packaging engineers
• Ensure that all verification of the parts and systems are conducted
• Set up and follow-up the System plan and the connected release activities
Requirements
• Sc. or M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
• Relevant experience in development of components and systems within the automotive area
• Independent problem solver who takes initiatives
• Preferably experience from an international and multi-language environment.
• Ability to take leadership and drive work towards suppliers
• Ability to work in cross functional teams
• Structured and organized
• Driven, flexible and motivated to work in a changing environment
• Experience of working with PLM systems, preferably Teamcenter
• Cultural awareness, especially Asian – European culture.
• Fluency in English, both oral and written
