System engineer, Outer cooling system
We are now in a search for an experienced engineer, responsible for components in Outer cooling system!
This is a fantastic opportunity for you! New technologies require cooling systems and functions to evolve and develop continuously and for that we need a self-driven and initiative person.
Are you passionate about research and development within automotive industry? Join Outer cooling system as System responsible for high temperature circuit (HT). Cooling system consist of 3 group working close together. Outer cooling for body mounted parts, Inner Cooling for engine mounted parts and system team for early faces, CAE and testing. Cooling system and Exhaust system is one section. The section is located under department Propulsion Energy System, PES. Within Cooling system we are approximately 60 people.
Cooling system is a fundamental and a high focused area regards thermal management and energy efficiency. Our job is in close cooperation with our suppliers and the different car and engine projects. The 3 groups are working close together and have the total responsibility for the complete cooling system in the cars. As System engineer, you will act as System responsible, working from Pre-Project Concept phase to Start of production in close cooperation with different competences within cooling system and other research & development areas in the company.
At Outer cooling system we have two similar positions. One responsible for High temperature (HT) that is responsible for all Internal Combustion Engine projects and another one for Hybrid that is responsible for all hybrid project like PHEV, BEV.
Your mission
You will manage and secure deliveries for HT system area before industrialization phase. Taking part in optimizing and balancing of requirement on complete vehicle level and leading optimizing and balancing of requirement fulfillment in underlying system areas.
You will take on the responsibility to secure scalability for one's system area between platforms and for development solution for one's system area according to process defined in VPDS and further confirm the solution with receiving industrialization. Reporting will be done both towards line organization and project organization.
You and your skills
We expect you to have M.Sc. degree within Mechanics, Physics or equivalent with knowledge in deeper understanding of thermodynamics. Very high theoretical and practical knowledge within the system area is expected to excel in this position.
We believe you have experience with System Engineering methods and project management skills.
You need to be fluent in English, written and spoken and have a driving license "B", valid in Sweden.

Good analytical skills and structural approach is appreciated, as well as inclusiveness and determination to find the best solution from different perspectives.

Confidence, knowledge and understanding of the system will help you to excel in this role and place the outer Cooling system on higher level. You are a strong team player and you place a great value to the strong collaboration.
