hela Sverige Would you like to work with future strategies for On Board Diagnostic? Do you want to work with the full range from high level legal requirements down to implementation strategies for in-house SW development?
We are looking for a System engineer in the On Board Diagnostic (OBD) area. In this position you will belong to the Powertrain Engineering Level 2 Electrical Platform System, but work with all the system engineering teams in Powertrain Engineering. You will be expected to provide OBD expertise to the different teams and ensure commonality for the complete solution stretching from diagnostic kernel to monitors. It will also stretch in scope from writing requirements on kernel and infrastructure to developing future strategies and verification strategies.
As we are working with continuous improvement, the work will include capturing of lessons learned, provide requirement on frameworks, development of competence and participate in various networks and forums.
Who are we?
The Powertrain Engineering is developing control systems for transmissions, engines and aftertreatment systems for the Volvo Group, including HW and internally developed SW. We have developers spread on multiple sites and utilize Lean and Agile principles for our development.
The Product and Infrastructure group in Powertrain Engineering Control System has employees in both Gothenburg and Lyon and this position is opened in both sites.

Required qualifications
M.Sc. Degree in Computer Science/ Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience
Experience from On Board Diagnostic
Experience from embedded system development
Good verbal and written communication skills in English
