Would you like to work with next generation electrical platform and automotive network design within Volvo Cars?
The 94141 Network Design group is a team with ten engineers and is responsible for:
Base technology concepts for i.e. CAN, LIN, MOST25, MOST150, APIX, LVDS, USB, Ethernet and WLAN. Designing vehicle signals with respect to their definitions and timing requirements. The signals are packed into configurations and delivered as a part of the complete electrical system network. The group supplies signal configurations for all vehicle programs in different electrical platforms.To keep the good progress in the Network Design area, we are now looking for reinforcement with a Base Concept Developer for Networks and Protocols.
You will be a member of the Network Design group. The position will be within the business area Research and Development and be located in Gothenburg. As Base Concept Developer you are responsible for one or more concepts underlying architecture. You will be working in all phases from pre-development to industrialization in car programs. The focus of this work is to develop a feasible solution for a specific base technology to prospective customer and car program. Ensuring a sustainable solution is important in this role but also maintenance and support is included in the tasks.
Main Tasks and responsibilities:
Deliver research work to define new requirement specifications and corresponding.
Lead the development of a balanced system for the base technology.
Deliver project specific design documents.
Driving alt. participate in relevant reports and analyzes.
Secure technology readiness by working with advanced engineering and EU projects.
Verification/validation method, communicate and coordinate work with concerned stakeholders.
Alert the vehicle program whenever requirements can not be fulfilled and suggest a solution to the problem.
Actively support concept studies.
Approve or deny a deviation request of a specific project.
Contribute in operational development, process, methods and tools.
Required qualifications:
University degree, MSc in electrical or computer engineering.
Knowledge and experience of Ethernet, APIX, LVDS, USB and WLAN.
Excellent English skills, verbally and in writing.
Demonstrated high level of communication and teamwork skills.
High general computer skills.
Experience of embedded programming
