System Engineer, Closure hardware
We are now looking for a System Engineer Closure hardware within Body & Exterior - Closures.
As System Engineer (SE) you will be responsible for all deliveries for the different closure hardware components for projects on our future vehicle program for the new car brand Lynk & Co.
Closure Hardware components includes systems such as Latch systems, Outer door handle systems and Power drive systems for all closure areas, i.e. side doors, hood and tailgate. Window regulator systems and to some extent sensor systems connected to closure hardware are also included in your work task. You will also be part of developing new functions within your area.
You will be interfacing and collaborating with many attributes/departments within the organization - like safety, security, solidity, electrical, design, vehicle integration etc. You will also be the main contact towards suppliers. You will also visit suppliers, our production sites and the Lynk & Co Research Institute in China
The work principle within the Closure team is flexibility and the possibility to use what you excel at together with a strong sense of co-operation; this meaning that you as part of a larger team will also support activities in other areas as well as you will get support on your area.
Responsibilities and tasks
* Closures hardware system technical fulfillment, timing and cost
* Define and understand system requirements
* Develop system design solutions to meet project requirements
* Work in close cooperation with concerned Function Owners
* Lead and manage closure hardware system supplier communication
* Cooperation with Lync & Co Research Institute counterparts
Requirements
* At least ~5y experience within automotive industry
* Experience in Mechanical/electrical development
* Understanding in Vehicle Electrical functionality and system integration
* Experience in Catia V5 and TeamCenter
* Fluent in English, both oral and written
* Master of Science in Engineering, or the equivalent experience

The ideal candidate is a self-driven and innovative individual with a strong passion for technical development in automotive. Ability to flexibly work in vague and constantly changing design direction and conditions.
Enjoys being a team player and can work closely with project and system managers as well as with suppliers.
