Would you like to help implement innovative cloud native solutions and solve the world's most complex technical problems? Would you like to do this using the latest cloud computing technologies and be part of the development of the Ericsson Cloud RAN? We are seeking a System engineer to own and advance use cases in the Network Automation of Cloud RAN.
PDU Cloud RAN is leading the acceleration and creation of a cloud-native Radio Access Network (RAN) product offering. This PDU (Product Development Unit) contains in one organization total life-cycle capability from architecture definition to deployment in customer networks and capability to contribute to open-source communities. To set ourselves up for greatness we count on our technical leaders to truly embody our business area's three C's, Customer Focus, Collaboration and Can-do, to drive the realization of the Ericsson Cloud RAN portfolio.
Our team is developing the management, orchestration and automation of Cloud RAN that encompasses physical network functions (PNF), virtual network functions (VNF), cloud native network functions (CNF) and the services across Cloud RAN, transport, 5G Core and underlying cloud infrastructure. Under this context, Cloud RAN management is not just about managing hybrid network functions in RAN, but also about bringing cloud native principles, programmable networks and model driven management and orchestration systems. This brings key values needed in 5G networks such as automation, flexibility, faster time to market, managing complex networks, and better customer experience.
You will face new techniques and methods, like cloud-native, microservices and Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning, at the same time as the system architecture and the solutions are being developed. You will work in a fast-paced environment with our multi-disciplined development teams to deliver use cases to our customers.
What you will do
Deliver technical studies to architects and various partners.
Lead challenging technical discussions and workshops to support in the creation of edge technical solutions to realize the use cases for Cloud RAN.
Analyze requirements, processes and pursue business problems, and work through ambiguous situations.
Adopt cloud native technology and principles.
Work closely with product line, customer units, and our teams.
Prototype new solutions.
You will bring
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

An understanding of technical concepts and be able to convey to partners by delivering technical studies to architects and various partners.
An ability to work effectively in a global team distributed across geographic locations.
A MSc or BSc level in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or equivalent level of knowledge.
