You will be part of ABB HVDC within the Power Systems Division in Ludvika. HVDC technology has been on the market for the past 50 years and is used to transmit power through long distances at minimal loss, using overhead lines, land and sea cable systems. The HVDC System Design department is responsible for electrical design of HVDC plants. Rating studies, specification of high voltage equipment, definition of concepts for control and protection design as well as system studies are part of our
scope of work.

You have a university degree i the field of Electric Power Engineering or Engineering Physics.
It is desirable that you are familiar with the programs and tools we use in the Division ? such as PSCAD/EMTDC, Matlab, PSSE and DIgSILENT?s PowerFactory. Since we work in an international environment you need to master spoken and written English. As a person you need to be a team player and work in an analytical and structured manner. You take responsibility for your work and deliver on time.
