hela Sverige The System Design Sensor and Communication group within Business Unit Airborne Early Warning is responsible for system design of sensors and communication parts for airborne surveillance solutions as well as sourced solutions included.
Your role
This position is primarily system engineering for our identification system for command and control where you will be technical driver for part of our airborne early warning system from early studies to customer deliveries.
The system engineering role covers various technical analysis and definition of functional, performance and robustness requirements as well as follow up of performance of implemented solutions within technology areas such as control software, signal processing, digital and analogue HW including RF/Microwave/Antennas. This entails both theoretical system analysis and technical guiding in cooperation with engineering experts within the organization. Cooperation with technical product management as well as external suppliers and other organizations within Saab is also part of the daily work.
This position offers great opportunities to travel nationally and/or internationally for both team work with colleagues, customer interactions and conferences.
Your profile
We are looking for a candidate with a M.Sc. or other similar experience in electrical engineering, computer science or engineering physics. Previous experience from working with radio/communication systems, electrical controlled antennas and/or engineering of complex system solutions is highly desirable. Furthermore, we value experience from systems engineering and communication with external parts delivering advanced technical solutions.
You are a team player and experienced in driving and cooperating with global teams to solve a wide array of problems on various levels of abstraction from theoretical concept to practical system implementation. You enjoy new challenges and thrive in an environment where you need to learn new complex solutions and technologies as well as sharing your knowledge with others.
This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations regarding security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
