System Engineer, Interaction Design Systems

At RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT you will be a key contributor to the next generation outstanding luxury cars from Volvo. Together with other engineers over the world, you and your team will create innovative human-centric car technology that makes life less complicated and more enjoyable for people. As SYSTEM ENGINEER within the group Interaction Design Systems you are responsible for electrical system solutions of Human-Machine Interface (HMI) across the car. You will work in early phases of projects in close collaboration with HMI function owners / attribute owners and other stakeholders responsible for subsystem realisation within HMI. We are looking for someone with strong technical competence and high social skills to join us in creating the next generation luxury cars with a world-leading HMI.

You will be part of a newly established group with a lot of possibilities to influence the future of the team. Interaction Design Systems is together with the neighbouring groups responsible for HMI and Driver Information Module for our cars and is a part of the section Interaction Design Engineering.

Job profile:

• Receive requirements from function owners / attribute owners and other stakeholders within and outside the section

• Develop system solutions for the projects and document them in Elektra / Teamcenter

• Act as System Safety Engineer for the section in accordance to ISO 26262 standard

Your profile:

• Technical university degree or equivalent work experience

• Experience from system engineering or safety related components/systems

• Experience from software and/or hardware development, preferably within automotive industry

• Good English skills (spoken and written)

• Knowledge within AUTOSAR, Elektra and model based development is meritorious

• Knowledge of ISO 26262 standard or relevant product or system development is meritorious

• Ability to build relationships and to communicate with different stakeholders

• Analytical and problem solving mindset

• High level of integrity and courage

• Positive mindset with a strong sense of humour
