Your workplace
Aeronautics, a business area of Saab, offers advanced airborne systems, related subsystems, unmanned aerial systems, aerostructures and services to defence customers and commercial aerospace industries worldwide. Aeronautics is also responsible for development, production, marketing, selling and supporting of the Gripen fighter.
The Flight Control System team is involved in several different projects within the Saab Aeronautics product portfolio. The various activities are mainly focusing on continued development of the Gripen, Saab commercial aircraft and Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS), and covers Project Management, Control Engineering, Control Laws design and verification, System Integration and Equipment handling. Our responsibilities involve product development, research and studies of new aerial systems. We are also involved in research activities within the scope of Aeronautical Engineering, both nationally and in European collaborations.
Your role
The position provides the opportunity to take a strong role in the development of Saab Fly By Wire Flight Control systems.
Your qualifications
As a minimum, the applicant should hold a Masters Degree in Automatic Control Engineering together with experience and/or a strong interest in Aeronautics, or a Masters Degree in Aeronautical Engineering with interest in Automatic Control. The applicant should also show proven collaboration skills, be able to define his/her own work as well as technical development work required for Flight Controls. Moreover, the ability to communicate and accept challenges in a positive way are valuable qualities.
