We currently have the following job opening;
System Engineer - Electrical/Subsystem & Components (S&C)
We need to strengthen up our development-team within electrical and S&C, therefor we are offering you to be one of the system engineers within subsystem & components at EE department in CEVT.
S&C currently consists of just over 50 engineers and additional supplier engineering resources. We are now looking for 6 system engineers to be responsible for several different areas:
• 48V power supply component owner.
• System designer in body or comfort domain (example locking system).
• Component owner for Steering Wheel Module, Central Electronic Module or similar components.
As the System Engineer you will act as the project leader for your area of responsibility and report to the System Manager in your area.
You will lead project activities for your components/systems within Electrical and participate in various architecture level meetings to provide status report from your area to the EE Unit Project Leader (UPL).
It is of great importance that you have an understanding of the needs raised in a vehicle development project and has the ability to inspire, motivate and guide the supplier teams in different issues and questions.
Responsibilities and tasks
- Responsible to drive and align component/system design cross the S&C including external interfaces.
- To lead the development work of the system/component areas in S&C.
- To secure that we meet the cost, timing and performance targets in your area.
- Create and communicate overall timing and deliverables during the project phases, drawing release, verification, launch etc. from project start to start of production.
- Lead and solve complexed engineering issues.
- Report overall timing, status, issues and solution on vehicle level
- Member of the System team reporting to the system manager and UPL.
Profile and Background
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Engineering or equivalent.
- Technical experience in the field of EE development.
- Experience of technical system or component design work in the automotive industry.
- At least five years of experience in automotive industry
- Ability to be a part of, and contribute in a high performing and diverse team with a strong team spirit.
- Cultural awareness and interest in diversity.
- Strong personal drive and motivation with ability to take initiative and drive issues.
- Flexible mindset with ability to lead change and development and take decisions,
- Analytical mindset to handle complex problems and to be solution oriented,
- Ability to communicate clearly with good presentation skills
- Fluent in English, spoken and written
