CEVT covers vital aspects of passenger car development – from the joint architecture, to power train and drive line components, to top hat engineering as well as the vehicles’ exterior design. The modular strategy will deliver on the premium aspects that Volvo Cars requires, as well as on Geely Auto’s demands, in order to compete in the automotive market. Our vision is to strengthen competitiveness of Geely Auto and Volvo Cars through development of world-class vehicle architectures, platforms, new technologies and total vehicles. We currently have the following job opening;
System Engineer – Cockpit
As a System Engineer within Cockpit you are working with the development of components and systems within one of CEVT:s module teams, Cockpit (Instrument panel and Floor console). You will develop requirements, concepts and system solutions and you will drive the work towards suppliers according to requirements.
Responsibilities and tasks
• Contribute with project, supplier and issue management within Cockpit
• Develop component, processes and systems that meet project requirements
• Secure packaging feasibility within given frames in accordance with the vehicle packaging engineers
• Support the defined release routines and release plans
Requirements
• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in mechanical eng. or similar.
• Relevant experience from development of components and systems within the automotive area.
• Project management and administration competence within Cockpit
• Experience from working with SharePoint solutions
• Experience of working with PLM systems, preferable Teamcenter
• Ability to work independently as well as a good team player
• Ability to work in cross functional teams and global experience
• Experience of project leading
• Ability to drive work towards suppliers
• Preferably experience from working with CEVT
• Fluent in English (oral and written), Chinese is beneficial
