Intelligence & Electrical Systems -Business Unit Surface Ship
Intelligence field includes management, sensor and weapon systems for surface vessels and marine communications and navigation systems for civil and marine surface vessels. Sensor may consist of radar systems and underwater sensors in the form of sonar. Electrical field includes automation, fire alarm and electrical power for civil and marine surface vessels.
Main accountabilities
• Analysis and specification of electrical systems, subsystems, functions and services which form the basis for system design and integration of these with other systems
• Systems integration
• Follow up suppliers, which means for example to monitor suppliers systems development
• Using a database for requirement analysis and specification work
• Conducting studies and research work in the fields of technology that can be used in the present but also in the future
• Investigation work of various kinds
• Testing of everything from theoretical analysis of principles to testing of equipment at sea
• Processing of technical purchase specifications
• Conducting training, both internally and externally
Qualification Profile
Requirements
• Minimum Bachelor of Science Electrical Engineering
• A minimum of five years experience working in systems integration or from the relevant technical fields
• Good knowledge in 2D and 3D CAD tools
• Good knowledge in relevant analytical tools
• Good written and oral skills in Swedish and English
• Good knowledge of MS Office programs
Meritorious
• Good knowledge in Swedish Maritime Administration's (SMA) laws and regulations
• Good knowledge of IEC 92
• Good knowledge of IEC 363
• Good knowledge of IEC 865
• Good knowledge of IEC 947-2
• Good knowledge of IEC 560
• Good knowledge of SOLAS
• Experience of international laws and regulations in the technical field
• Experience of classification organisations such as DNV, RMS
• Knowledge in the German language
• Experience working with people from different cultures
